About Placement Cell:
Alwardas Polytechnic has a well established Training placements & Career Guidance Cell that puts in the best efforts to up skill the students and helps them for getting into higher education or gets hired in a reputed organization as per their interest. TPO Cell was established with a main objective of creating ample career opportunities for students in reputed Corporate Companies. TPCC organizes various career guidance programmes for all the students starting from first year. In the induction program of Ist year in Diploma the Cell provides motivation, counseling and roadmap regarding various campus training programs and self-preparation. Students are encouraged to visit the Cell and interact with the faculty and get the required inputs that help them progress. It is presently headed by K.Tulasi Krishna Kumar who holds a dominant position shouldering various responsibilities and running a gamut of activities intended to cater to the needs of the diploma students. The Cell plays a pivotal role in locating jobs for diploma students by being constantly in touch with the reputed firms and industrial establishments in and around Visakhapatnam. Career advisers engage them in discussions and students are encouraged to attend talks, information fairs and recruitment events.
Objectives:
- Providing Training & Placement process awareness to final year diploma students.
- Planning and organizing various Placement drives on campus and finding, informing and managing Pool Placements drives.
- To provide career guidance about avenues open to graduation or placements or entrepreneurship.
- To provide campus recruitment to Diploma students.
- To have good relations with the recruiters in and around visakhapatnam & other zones.
- Organizing Pre- Placement Training and managing recruiters correspondence and feedback.
Functions:
Motivating students aspire for higher studies and guide them to take up competitive exams such as ECET & Other and so on.
- Gathering constant feedback from the companies about alumni working with them and analyzing it for bettering the present training methods or curriculum.
- Assisting students in developing technical knowledge, quantitative and verbal aptitude, and also arranging industry interaction programs either through outsourcing or by in-house faculty.
- Looking for the industries that support the college in terms of providing technical support, lab establishments, and internships for diploma students and entering MoU with them.
- Molding the personality of the students holistically by imparting training on personality development.
- Enriching the skills of the students to meet the industries’ recruitment process.
- Locating employment opportunities available across the industry for the Diploma students.
- Establish a relationship with the corporate leaders and present a brief profile of the college and invite them to conduct campus recruitment for final year students.
Infrastructure Facilities:
Seminar Hall
Alwardas Polytechnic has a spacious well seated 150 capacity seminar hall for the students. Many workshops, PPT’s, one day seminars including National Symposium have been conducted.
Interview with GD Room
The Alwardas Polytechnic provides state of art facilities for corporate and placement readiness practice through mock Group Discussions and interviews. There is a Group Discussion room available in the campus
Computer lab for Online Exam
Computer Systems are available to provide regular Training and to conduct Assessments beyond the Curriculum as a part of CRT. Diploma, Core Pharmacy factories relevant & few I.T other companies are conducting the online exams though our center.
